Do It for Dolly Day tomorrow

May 7, 2026 8:02 am in by

Schools and workplaces across Sunraysia and the Mallee are being encouraged go blue tomorrow and take a stand against bullying on Do It for Dolly Day (Friday, 8 May).

The annual event honours the memory of 14-year-old schoolgirl, Dolly Everett, who took her own life in 2018 after she was subjected to ongoing bullying.

In the years since, her parents Kate and Tick Everett have turned their heartbreak into a national movement, with Dolly’s Dream now delivering in-school kindness, self-worth and anti-bullying workshops, the 13 DOLLY support line, the Beacon Cyber Safety App for parents and more.

Currently, one in four Year 4 to Year 9 students in Australia report being bullied every few weeks or more, underscoring the urgency of the cause.
