Police are renewing their appeal for information after shots were fired at a vehicle in Broken Hill last month.
In August 2026, detectives attached to Barrier Police District commenced an investigation following reports shots had been fired at a vehicle in Broken Hill.
Police were told two shots were fired into the window of a vehicle – which had been parked on Newton Street, Broken Hill, near Creedon Street – about 10.30pm on Tuesday 25 August 2026.
No injuries were reported; the damaged vehicle was seized for forensic examination.
As investigations continue under Strike Force Pinnac, investigators have release a CCTV image of a vehicle they believed may have been involved.
The vehicle is described as being a white Holden Commodore sedan with no front registration plates.

Police are seeking assistance from members of the public who may have been in the vicinity around the time of the incident or may have any information.
Officers are urging anyone with CCTV/mobile phone or dashcam footage that relates to contact Broken Hill Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
