A man has been arrested after illegal drugs were found during a traffic stop in Renmark.
About 11.30am on Wednesday 8 July, police stopped a car on Ogilvy Street to speak to the driver after checks found that the 44-year-old Gilberton man was driving while disqualified.
Police searched the man’s vehicle and located illegal drugs, drugs paraphernalia, multiple mobile phones, and cash.
Police then searched a nearby house in Renmark and found methamphetamine, cannabis and more items relating to illegal drug use.
A search of a Gilberton property uncovered a small amount of cannabis, cocaine, a double-edged knife and a litre of a substance suspected of being GHB (also known as fantasy).
The man was charged with numerous offences including drive disqualified and traffic a controlled drug.
He was bailed to appear in the Berri Magistrates Court on 7 September.
