Sixty-one of Victoria’s eighty local municipalities have seen big jumps in their homeless populations, according to a new report.
The number of Victorians sleeping rough has jumped by fourteen-percent.
A report by the Council to Homeless Persons says local government areas in Melbourne and regional cities are at the centre of a crippling housing crisis.
However figures show 380 employed people in Mildura sought help from homelessness services in the last financial year, with three-quarters of those being female.
The Council on Homeless Persons says there’s a savage cost of living storm.
