A local business named AusVeg Victoria’s Vegetable Farm of the Year has paid tribute to its staff.
Rocky Lamattina & Sons has taken out the award, recognised for its successful carrot growing operations.
The Wemen-based business says it’s a reflection of the effort and commitment to excellence, from the farmers to support staff behind the scenes.
The business hires up to one hundred staff over multiple locations, and packs up to one-thousand tonnes of carrots each week at its Wemen base from three properties.
The Vegetable Farm of the Year Award also recognises businesses who actively contributes to the broader industry (such as participating in international R&D tours, industry committees, forums, conferences or field days).
