Wentworth Shire Council is seeking community feedback on a proposal for a second roundabout in Buronga, at the intersection of Melaleuca Street and Pitman Avenue.
Council is proposing to upgrade the intersection to a small roundabout in response to increasing traffic associated with residential growth in the surrounding area, both now and into the future.
The concept design considers the movement of both vehicles and pedestrians through the intersection.
Residents, business owners and other interested community members are encouraged to review the proposed plan and provide feedback, including any issues or concerns they believe Council should consider.
The proposed concept plan is available to view on Engage Wentworth & Surrounds (https://engage.wentworth.nsw.gov.au/), where the community can review the proposal and provide feedback.
Submissions close at 4:00pm on Thursday, 3 December 2026.
Following consideration of community feedback and confirmation of the design, the intersection upgrade is proposed to occur in the first half of 2027.
For further information, contact Council’s Roads & Engineering Department on (03) 5027 5027.
