Intersection Upgrade – Sturt Highway (Deakin Avenue) and Sixteenth Street, Mildura
Road closures
To minimise disruption and deliver the works as safely and efficiently as possible, closures of sections of the intersection will be required.
Detours will be in place during this time.
Sixteenth Street will be closed in two stages.
Each stage will last approximately six weeks.
Access for residents will be maintained during works.
The first closure will be between Deakin Avenue and San Mateo Avenue starting from 22 October 2026.
Vehicles will detour via San Mateo Avenue and Fifteenth Street.
The second closure will be between Deakin Avenue and Walnut Avenue.
Vehicles will detour via Walnut Avenue and Fifteenth Street.
Please plan ahead and allow extra time.
Works are expected to completed mid-2027.
