Farrer MP Sussan Ley has been appointed as the Leader of the Liberal Party, the first woman to lead the party.
Ley defeated Angus Taylor 29 to 25 for the leadership of the party this morning.
Ted O’Brien from Queensland has been elected the Deputy Leader, winning 38 to 10 over Phil Thompson.

David Littleproud was yesterday re-elected as the Leader of the Nationals after a challenge from Matt Canavan.
