Eight thousand new homes could be built in Mildura over the next 27 years.
The Victorian Government is working with councils to show how and where they can unlock space for new homes over the coming decades.
The draft housing targets for each local government area final numbers are to be released by the end of this year.

The city currently has almost 26-thousand homes.
Swan Hill’s proposed target is 15-hundred homes by 2051.
