Ouyen locals are set to benefit from improved pedestrian and cyclist paths, with funding secured by Mildura Rural City Council from the TAC Local Government Grants Program.
The grant will aim at improving safety through the upgrades of footpaths and bike lanes, making it easier and safer for people to get to essential facilities.
The TACs introduced the program after a horror year on the states roads which saw 48 pedestrians and twelve cyclists killed in 2024.
