NSW Multicultural Health Week is being held from 31 August to 6 September 2026, providing an opportunity to focus on the importance of health and wellbeing in our diverse communities.
Wentworth Shire Council is encouraging residents of all ages and backgrounds to improve their mental health and wellbeing through physical activity.
The local council says regular physical activity can help reduce stress, improve mood, increase energy levels and support overall wellbeing.
Whether it’s joining a local sporting club, taking a walk, cycling with family or participating in community recreation activities, every form of movement can make a positive difference.
Residents looking to become more active can explore local sporting clubs and organisations through Council’s Sporting Groups Directory at https://www.wentworth.nsw.gov.au/community/our-residents/sporting-groups/
