More electric vehicle charging stations could be built across the Mildura municipality to attract EV Tourism to the region.
Mildura Councillors last week endorsed the EV Charging Infrastructure Policy aimed at expanding the technology with key objectives including ensuring a consistent approach is taken when operators approach the city about installing chargers on council land and driving further investment in public EV charging infrastructure in the municipality to increase uptake of EVs, reducing emissions and improving air quality.
The city says EV Tourism is growing in Australia and it wants to be a more attractive destination.

The policy and guidelines will soon be available to view on Council’s website at www.mildura.vic.gov.au
