Dried grape growers to talk irrigation next week

September 2, 2026 8:39 am in by

Dried grape growers are invited to join Dried Fruits Australia for a breakfast and coffee next week as the community talk vineyard irrigation ahead of the new season.

Agriculture Victoria’s regional manager irrigation – Mallee, Jeremy Giddings, will join in to chat vineyard irrigation, including post-harvest irrigation and evapotranspiration (ETO) data that will be made available again this season.

The grower breakfast will coincide with the beginning of weekly ETO data being released next week, which aims to support dried grape producers with irrigation management.

This will be a casual gathering, and growers are welcome to ask questions to learn more about vineyard irrigation needs.

The grower breakfast will be held on Friday, 11 September, from 7.30am for an 8:00am start at Bobby + Me Cafe at the Mildura riverfront on Hugh King Drive.

Look for the Dried Fruit Australia flags.

DFA says registrations by reply email would be appreciated but are not essential.
