Former Wentworth Deputy Mayor Paul Cohrs has been found guilty of murdering his mother at her Red Cliffs home.

The 64-year-old shot dead his 81-year-old mother in October 2018 after years of fighting over financial matters, with a Victorian Supreme Court jury finding him guilty yesterday, after less than three hours of deliberation.

The defence argued Cohrs suffered from a delusional disorder at the time and therefore shouldn’t be found guilty of murder.
