A Mildura court has refused bail to a man accused smashing beer bottles over another man’s head.
The 39-year-old accused had sought bail over an alleged assault on the weekend according to the Sunraysia Daily.
The court was told the man grabbed a beer bottle off the table at the venue after a conversation between himself and the victim, smashing it over his head.

The victim was left with a large cut on his head, while the accused left the venue.
The man was later tased by police after failing to comply with directions to lay down.
The magistrates said there were no satisfactory bail conditions that could be imposed.
He’ll return to court next month.
