Work is underway on the two art installations expected to attract thousands of visitors to the region.
Tourism and Major Events minister Steve Dimopoulos has been in Mildura this week to talk about the Trail of Lights Project, which will be unveiled on Lock Island next April.
It’s designed by artist Bruce Munro, who’s also behind the Fibre Optic Symphonic Orchestra which is being installed near Wentworth.
