Mildura Rural City Council Cr Liam Wood has been returned as Mayor for a third consecutive term.
Cr Wood, 44, won the annual mayoral vote last night 6-2, beating out Cr Helen Healy who would have been the first female mayor at the council in 20 years, the last being Cr Ann Cox who passed away in office on Christmas Day in 2002.
Cr Jodi Reynold, who was to vote remotely, had technical difficulties and was unable to make her vote count.

Cr Mark Eckel was also elected Deputy Mayor at last night’s Annual Council Meeting.
