Wimmera farmer David Jochinke has been elected the President of the National Farmers Federation.
He takes over from Fiona Simpson after serving as Vice President since 2017.
Member for Mallee Anne Webster has congratulated Mr Jochinke and says he’s echoed the words of the National Party, calling on the Federal Government to re-instate a dedicated Agriculture Worker Visa.

He has also asked them to put in place a mandatory code of conduct for energy transmission projects.
