Daniel Linklater has taken the step up from his role as deputy to be announced as the new Mayor for Wentworth Shire Council.
Linklater told Council last night he’s thrilled to take the step.
Linklater was elected to his first term on council in late 2021, the 42-year-old has been deputy mayor since January last year.

He was elected on a vote of six-to-three, with Jane MacCallister also nominated.
Councillor Susan Nichols was elected to fill the vacant Deputy Mayor role.
Councillor Linklater told last night’s meeting he’s looking forward to the added responsibilities.
