Five drivers have been caught breaking the road rules in the Murraylands over the weekend, including these two in the Riverland region.
On Friday 5 December police stopped a car on McGlinton Road, Berri and the driver underwent a breath test.
The 18-year-old man from Monash returned a positive reading of 0.053.
Further checks revealed he was the current holder of a provisional licence.
He was issued with a fine of $1406 for breaching his licence conditions and four demerit points.
And on Sunday 7 December, police stopped a car on Murray Avenue, Renmark when checks on the vehicle showed that the registered owner’s licence was disqualified.
The 61-year-old Renmark man was reported for driving while disqualified, his car was impounded for 28 days and he will be summonsed to appear in Berri Magistrates Court at a later date.
