Jarod Waters has been named Timmis Speedway Driver of the Year.
He’s been recognised for his efforts during the 2022/23 racing year, despite the local speedway not being used for much of the season due to needed lighting upgrades.
He became a national champion earlier this year after starting the finals race in 15th spot.

Josh Mitchell won the President’s Award for the club, while Club Ambassador went to Angelo Halacas.
Wade McCarthy received life membership.
Meantime, the club is hoping to install lights and brackets in coming weeks.
