Water efficiency project to continue over winter

The Sunraysia Water Efficiency Project will continue over winter, with Lower Murray Water appointing six civil contractors to deliver the works program.

The water authority says it’ll be happening inside the Sunraysia irrigation districts, with tenders filled with a mixture of experienced local companies and other organisations across Victoria.

It’s funded through the Federal Government’s Off-Farm Efficiency Program.

Meanwhile, Lower Murray Water is inviting the community to the official opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly completed Millewa Pump Station.

The Sunraysia Steam Preservation Society will be operating the steam-powered Millewa A Pump Station on the day also.

The event will be at the Millewa Pump Station, Lock 9 Road, 10:00am, Thursday 18 April 2024.
