Anyone planning to use the warmer weather to head to the Murray Sunset National Park, or even hike along the Murray, are being urged to take precautions.
Ambulance Victoria says it’s important to be prepared for an emergency when hiking, even if it’s just a short journey.
That includes letting people know where you’re going and when you’ll be back and having supplies including food and water.
