Mildura police are advising local farmers and producers to be vigilant for fires starting in paddocks.
Emergency services have been called to several grassfires on farms in the past week due to harvesting and roadside slashing, including crews being called to grass fire in Manangatang around 4:00 yesterday afternoon.
The blaze broke out on Jones Road with concerns the fire was travelling in a north-westerly direction before it was brought under control.
The blaze has since been declared safe and the advice cleared.
A blaze at Ouyen is believed to have started by harvesting equipment.
The fire sparked an advice message at one stage on Sunday afternoon before it was brought under control and declared safe.
The fire burnt through over five-hundred hectares of land.
