The Nationals Member for Mildura, Jade Benham, has issued a warning to the community about a concerning trend where businesses and food producers are receiving questionable invoices from the State Revenue Office (SRO).
While not a scam, these invoices are seen, by some, as a cash grab by the State Labor Government.
Businesses and some residences have received their Land Tax bill when in fact, the property in question is exempt from this new Labor tax.

The local MP says “Remember that farmland is exempt from land tax, so if you receive a happy new year invoice from the State Revenue Office, make sure to check with your accountant, and don’t just pay without question.”
