The dried grape industry’s Dried Grape Production Systems project has taken a significant step last week as vines were planted on the SuniTAFE trial site.
The project aims to enhance the productivity and profitability of the dried grape industry, by identifying and promoting trellis systems better suited to advanced, climate-ready grape varieties.
Through a long-term, collaborative trial established at SuniTAFE’s SMART Farm, the project will collect detailed data on labour, inputs, yield, and fruit quality for different variety and trellis combinations.
Dried Grape Production Systems project is funded by Hort Innovation using dried grape research and development levies and contributions from the Australian Government.
