The Victorian Solo speedway championship will not be held this weekend at Mildura’s Olympic Park Speedway.
The championship has been moved, to be conducted as the next meeting held by Mildura Motor Cycle Club, on Saturday 7th December.
The Title event was first scheduled to be run this coming weekend, 23rd November, however recently, Motorcycling Australia advised the local club that a race permit would not be issued due to the intended running of the Australian Under 21 and Under 16 National at Bowen, Queensland on the same date.
A National Title always takes precedence over a State championship meeting, so Mildura was forced to change the meeting date.
The State meeting, now to be held on Saturday, 7th December, will feature a full field of State Title contenders along with the remaining riders in a strong support field, which will guarantee plenty of meeting “Reserves”.
A group of 6 “250cc” riders will also be featured along with some Classic Solo riders and a Junior Title meeting will be held prior to the main event, with the Championship Final probably held during the conduct of the Senior meeting.
