Later in the day police were conducting an alcohol testing site near the Chaffey Bridge.

One male driver tested positive for alcohol and produced a learner’s permit when asked for his licence.

The male was the only one in the car, failed to display his learners and had an open alcoholic beverage in the car.

When tested he blew 0.146, almost three times the legal limit if he had a full license.
