Cancer Council’s iconic fundraiser, Daffodil Day, marks 40 years of hope today [Thursday, 20 August], with bunches of flowers on sale across the state as Victorians are being urged to help raise money for vital research.
Cancer Council is aiming to raise more than $5.5 million nationally, with every donation or bunch of daffodils sold giving hope to a cancer-free future.
Ways Victorians can support Daffodil Day:
• Buy Daffodils: Visit one of the fundraising stalls across the state, in the lead-up to and on Daffodil Day, to buy fresh daffodils and show your support.
• Donate: Every dollar donated via daffodilday.com.au helps fund research into the prevention, detection, treatment and care of cancer.
It’s not too late to support the campaign before the end of August by:
• Holding an event: Fundraise at home, in your workplace or amongst the community.
• Getting involved in the Daffodil Day Dip: Join thousands of other Victorians braving the cold to take a plunge and show their support for a cancer-free future.
