Member for Mildura, Jade Benham, is encouraging community groups, sporting clubs, cultural organisations, and not-for-profits in the region to apply for VicHealth’s Growing Healthy Communities grants.
The grant program supports projects that build stronger social connections, increase physical activity, and improve access to healthy and affordable food.
“These grants are a fantastic opportunity for our local groups to deliver programs that promote both physical and mental wellbeing,” Ms Benham said.
“Community organisations are the backbone of our region, often working with limited resources. These grants help break down barriers so everyone, regardless of background or postcode, can lead a healthier, more connected life.”
The Growing Healthy Communities grants are available in two tiers:
- Tier 1: $10,000 – $50,000
- Tier 2: $50,001 – $150,000
Eligible applicants include sporting clubs, community and cultural organisations, creative projects, local councils, and other not-for-profit groups.
Applications close on 30 October 2025.
