A man and a woman have died following a fatal crash at Waikerie.
Just after 1:00pm, Wednesday 18 January, patrols and emergency crews were called to the Sturt Highway after a Holden station wagon and a Nissan sedan collided.
Sadly, the driver and sole occupant of the Nissan, a 75-year-old man from the Riverland and the driver and sole occupant of the Holden, a 78-year-old woman from Waterloo Corner, both died at the scene.

The Sturt Highway was closed for several hours while investigators from Major Crash examined the scene.
Their deaths are the eighth and ninth lives lost on our roads this year as compared to one for this time last year.
