Detectives from the Gang Crime Squad have charged two males as part of an investigation into an aggravated home invasion in Mildura last year.
Two search warrants were executed yesterday morning in the Springvale area.
A 17-year-old boy from the Springvale area was charged with possess handgun, possess cartridge ammunition, traffic ecstasy, possess ecstasy, possess proceeds of crime, handle stolen goods, two counts of possess prohibited weapon and fail to provide mobile phone pin.
He was bailed to appear at a children’s court at a later date.
Investigators seized what is believed to be a 3D printed 0.22 calibre handgun, a Samurai sword, MDMA, a flick knife, cash and a stolen driver’s licence from his address.
A 20-year-old Harkness man was previously charged on 7 January with two counts of possess controlled weapon without an excuse and possess cocaine.
He was bailed to appear at Sunshine Magistrates’ Court on 7 May.
The charges follow an investigation into an incident at a residential address in Mildura on 29 October, 2025.
Police will allege a number of offenders wearing hoodies and masks and carrying machetes and a baseball bat smashed a window and gained access to a residence just before 12.30am.
Officers were told one resident confronted the males and was then assaulted.
Nothing was stolen during the incident.
A 70-year-old Mildura woman sustained minor injuries.
Police believe the incident was targeted and the investigation remains ongoing.
