The Department of Transport and Planning is partnering with councils across Victoria to conduct traffic and pedestrian movement surveys to help identify potential road safety issues.

From today until Thursday, 11–13 August, a traffic survey company will be installing temporary cameras at the following intersections within the Swan Hill municipality:

Swan Hill – Murlong Street & Clark Street

The survey technology detects traffic and pedestrian movements only.

Council says it does not capture the identity of pedestrians or vehicle occupants, with the information collected used solely to assess road safety and traffic movements.

Swan Hill Rural City Council is thanking the community for its understanding while these surveys are undertaken.
