Swan Hill Rural City Council says they have received confirmation that the Department of Transport and Planning’s traffic survey company will be installing cameras at the Watkin Street Robinvale (near Nichols Street) school crossing, today through until Thursday.
The Department of Transport and Planning say they survey traffic and pedestrian movements to identify road safety issues.
This camera technology detects movements without capturing the identity of pedestrians or vehicles.

It replaces the pneumatic rubber rubes and onsite observations previously used for such surveys.
