Top Crop Awards announced

The 2024 Top Crop Awards have been announced by Dried Fruits Australia, the third time the awards have recognised the industry’s best producing dried grape businesses.

Cardross grower Allan Long was recognised for his Selma Pete patch, producing 14. 79 tonnes per hectare to record the highest value crop this season.

Other winners include Trigg Trellis Supplies for producing 11.51 tonnes per hectare of Sunglo, Rowena and Warren Smart producing 11.17 tonnes per hectare of Sunmuscat, Daryn Gardner producing 13.73 tonnes per hectare of Currant and M & O Secer Family Trust for producing 10.1 tonnes per hectare of Sugra39.

The awards will be presented soon at a field walk.
