Three drink drivers were caught in 18 hours in the Riverland.
At about 1.00am on Monday 1 January police stopped a Hyundai station wagon on Murtho Street, Renmark for a random driver test.
The driver, a 32-year-old woman from Kingston on Murray allegedly returned a positive breath test reading of 0.146.
The woman was reported for exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol and will be summonsed to attend court at a later date.
She was issued with a six-month immediate loss of licence notice and his vehicle was impounded for a period of 28 days.
Then at about 1.20am on Monday 1 January police stopped a Hyundai sedan on Virgo Street, Waikerie for a random driver test.
The driver, a 24-year-old man from Renmark West allegedly returned a positive breath test reading of 0.111.
The man was reported for exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol and will be summonsed to attend court at a later date.
He was issued with a six-month immediate loss of licence notice and his vehicle was impounded for a period of 28 days.
And later, just before 7pm Monday 1 January emergency services were called to the intersection of Hisgrove Road and Eighteenth Street after a Holden Commodore attempting to turn right at the intersection reportedly lost control and crashed into the wall of a building.
Police attended and spoke to the driver, a 44-year-old Renmark man. He was breath tested allegedly returned a positive reading of 0.250.
He was reported for drink driving and lost his licence on the spot for 12 months. His car was towed from the scene and he will be summonsed to appear in the Berri Magistrates Court at a later date.
