A woman and two men will face court following a pursuit in Broken Hill on Monday.
About 1:00am on Monday 29 December 2025, officers attached to Barrier Police District were patrolling on Wills Street, Broken Hill, when they located a white hatchback allegedly being driven in a dangerous manner.
When the driver failed to stop as directed, a pursuit was initiated.
The pursuit continued through to the intersection of Iodide Street and Lane Street, Broken Hill where the vehicle came to a stop and police arrested the alleged driver, a 39-year-old woman, and her two passengers, men aged 22 and 18.
They were all taken to Broken Hill Police Station, where the driver was charged with police pursuit – not stop – drive dangerously and negligent driving.
She was refused bail to appear at Bail Division Court 4 on Monday where she was refused bail to appear at Broken Hill Local Court on Wednesday 14 January 2025.
The 22-year-old man was charged with an unrelated offence on break and enter house etc steal value less than or equal to $60,000.
He was refused bail to appear at Bail Division Court 4 on Monday where he was refused bail to appear at the same court yesterday.
The second man was also charged with an unrelated offence on contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (Domestic) and common assault (DV).
He was refused bail to appear at Bail Division Court 4 on Monday where he was granted conditional bail to appear at Broken Hill Local Court on Friday 23 January 2025.
