2025 will see the last Pink Ball Mildura.
Founder and organiser Deb Chandler took to social media over the weekend to announce the news.
“For 17 years, the Pink Ball has been a shining light in our community a night of glamour, generosity, and heartfelt purpose” Chandler said.
“What began as a gesture of support from my fellow teachers at Mildura South Primary School during my own breast cancer journey and in memory of a beloved friend, has grown into something truly special.”
In the early years the local event supported the National Breast Cancer Foundation, but for the past seven years, every dollar raised has gone directly to Sunraysia Cancer Resources, ensuring local people battling breast cancer can access support they need.
Chandler also took the time to thank sponsors of the event.
“Thanks to the incredible generosity of local businesses, sponsors, volunteers, committee members (past and present), and our amazing guests, we’ve raised a staggering $840,000.”
“Now, with one last celebration, we aim to go out with a bang reaching for that magic million.”
This year’s theme is “A Final Flourish of Pink”, with the ball to be held on Saturday October 18.
