Mildura will receive a Tesla Supercharger after a quarterly worldwide poll by the electric vehicle giant.
Mildura is one of 19 locations nominated through the poll and only Australian location to get a new supercharger, joining 66 other spots across the country already with a supercharger.
The charging bays can add up to 275 kilometres of range to an electric vehicle within 15 minutes.

The next closest locations are Horsham in Victoria and Tailem Bend in South Australia.
It’s not yet known whether it will be open to non-Tesla vehicles, but other locations on major freight routes across Australia are compatible with other EVs.
