Telstra to give phones to vulnerable customers

Vulnerable Telstra customers will be given a free handset from today, as the Telco prepares to officially shut down its 3G operations.

Telstra’s already increased 4G mobile phone service in the Wentworth area.

It says it’ll help those customers who’d will lose their ability to use their old phones which rely on the 3G technology.

Telstra recently extended their 3G network closure date to 31 August 2024, to allow people more time to upgrade their devices.
