Swan Hill cleans-up after heavy rains

The clean-up has been held across Swan Hill following heavy rain.

The city recorded more than 80mm of rain yesterday morning, which led to flooding in homes and on the roads.

Swan Hill Rural City Council says the one-in-50 year event overwhelmed the drainage systems, leading to floods in some areas.

Council also says its drainage system and pumps did not malfunction during yesterday’s storm event.

It’s thanked locals for their patience during the heavy rain and storms while crews worked.
