A woman who tried to defraud more than 20-thousand dollars from the Federal Government has received a suspended jail term.
The 35-year-old pleaded guilty to three federal charges in the Mildura Magistrates’ Court last week.
The Herald Sun says the woman was sentenced to one-month jail but that was suspended for six months.

She also pleaded guilty to other offences including receiving stolen goods and was handed a 12-month community corrections order.
