Federal MP Sussan Ley has challenged NSW Member Murray Helen Dalton to stop water buybacks in the Murray Darling Basin.
The Member for Farrer told Federal Parliament Ms Dalton needs to use her vote in the NSW parliament to protect local farming communities.
The Federal Member also said “Now, our side of the House supports farming, we support food production, and we’ll try and head off this dreadful legislation in the Senate.”

It comes after Federal Labor introduced new legislation to amend the Murray Darling Basin Plan, including water buybacks.
