Mildura and Swan Hill are yet to have a regional sobering-up centre open, despite it being promised to cater for all Victorians.
Only one regional site has opened since public drunkenness laws were abolished in November, and that is in Shepparton.
A spokesperson for the Victorian Government has told the Herald Sun the “Places of Safety” will be opening progressively over coming months.
