The NSW Small Business Commissioner, Kalina Koloff, will visit Wentworth tomorrow, Wednesday, 28 October as part of NSW Small Business Month.
The Commissioner will bring new research that shows how AI, digital technology, specialist expertise and a new generation of founders are reshaping the News South Wales small business sector, challenging traditional assumptions about what a successful business looks like.
The report highlights the rise of micro-businesses, “second-act founders” launching ventures later in life, and regional businesses using technology to reach customers far beyond their local communities.
The report says these trends are increasingly evident across regional NSW, including in communities such as Wentworth, where small businesses continue to drive economic growth and innovation.
During her visit, Kalina will meet with local business leaders and entrepreneurs, engage with representatives from the Mildura Wentworth Chamber of Commerce and Industry, participate in a Women in Business Roundtable, attend a regional marketing workshop, and moderate the Small Business Exchange, bringing together businesses, industry groups and government representatives to discuss the opportunities and challenges shaping the region’s future.
