Commercial Street Merbein was the location of a shop fire early in the evening last night.
Tasty Takeaways reportedly received substantial damage in the fire.
Five CFA appliances, from Merbein and Mildura, including the Merbein team with breathing apparatus, attended the incident, with local police closing off Commercial Street until the scene was declared safe.

Merbein Mega Mart, the business next door to the fire, was checked for smoke damage, and staff will assess the situation today as to trading.
