Wentworth Shire Council has informed the residents of Wentworth that contractor Insituform will be undertaking sewer relining work.
Sewer relining will only occur in the west portion of Wentworth township.
A recent inspection of the 1950’s sewer has determined sections that are cracked and in need of repair.
A total of 4 km of sewer, about one quarter of all West Wentworth sewer, is to be relined.
Sewer relining will re-commence from Wednesday 3 July 2025 through to Friday 1 August 2025.
Works are not expected on weekends and hours will be kept to between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm.
Brief roadwork diversions may be in place for some roads and laneways to enable access to complete the relining.
Access to some backyards will also be required for those properties that have sewer mains located in backyards.
The contractor will make additional contact with residents and business owner prior to accessing private property.
