A man has died following a crash at Glossop yesterday afternoon.
At 4.15pm Thursday 4 July, emergency services were called to the intersection of Scott Road and Jury Road at Glossop in the Riverland, after reports of a two-car collision.
A Ford Falcon sedan that had been travelling south-west on Scott Road and a Subaru Outback that was travelling south-east on Jury Road had collided at the intersection.
Sadly the driver of the Falcon, an 84-year-old man from Cobdogla died at the scene. A passenger in the Ford, an 82-year-old woman from Cobdogla was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the Subaru, a 21-year-old man and his three passengers, a 24-year-old man, a 25-year-old man and a 27-year-old man, all from Loxton North were uninjured and are assisting police with their enquiries.
Road closures were in place while Major Crash attended the scene, but all roads have now reopened.
The man’s death is the 46th life lost on South Australian roads so far this year.

At 4.15pm, Thursday 4 July, police were called to the intersection of Pennyfield Road and Jury Road at Glossop in the Riverland, after reports of a two-vehicle crash.
Traffic restrictions were in place on the Sturt Highway for several hours, and the public were advised to avoid the area.
Two women were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
