It’s been revealed less than one per cent of roadsides were graded in Victoria in the twelve months.
The Victorian Opposition says the Government completed just 25kms of roadside grading of the state controlled 23,000kms of roads.
Grading of unsealed roadsides and cleaning out of drains ensures water can get away from the road surface, preventing pavement failure and pothole formation.
Last year only nine hundred drainage defects were addressed in the last year across the entire state.
Member for Mildura Jade Benham highlighted the issue of potholes in her electorate late last month, saying she’ll be making sure it’s on the agenda when parliament resumes.
