South Australian Police have stopped numerous drivers committing traffic offences in the Riverland over the weekend.
Commencing on Friday 7 November, Loxton police reported a 49-year-old local man at Loxton after he allegedly returned a positive result for illicit drugs. He was issued with a three-month instant loss of licence notice and will be summonsed to attend at Berri magistrates court at a later date.
Berri Police reported a 27-year-old woman from Renmark. It will be alleged that she was driving in Renmark while her licence was disqualified. Her car was impounded for 28 days and she will be summonsed to appear in Berri Magistrates Court at a later date.
Police have reported a 20-year-old man from Loxton. It will be alleged he was stopped on the Sturt Highway, Cobdogla when he returned a positive result for illicit dugs. He was issued with a three-month instant loss of licence notice and may be summonsed to court at a later date pending forensic analysis.
And Police have then reported a 77-year-old man from Kingston On Murray. It will be alleged he was stopped on the Sturt Highway, Cobdogla and returned a positive blood alcohol result of 0.103. He was issued a six-month instant loss of licence notice, had his vehicle impounded for 28 days and will be summonsed to Berri Magistrates Court at later date.
